The workshop targeted farmers from Laboos District in Lahj Governorate and aimed to introduce the project components and outline a clear implementation roadmap. The sessions focused on enhancing agricultural productivity and strengthening farmers’ resilience in the face of climate change and limited natural resources.

Key themes of the workshop included:

  • Enhancing agricultural infrastructure and productivity through the adoption of modern farming techniques to improve efficiency and resilience.

  • Improving access to livestock and veterinary services by strengthening veterinary centers and facilitating farmers’ access to essential services to ensure the sustainability of livestock production.

  • Developing the beekeeping sector by supporting honey production, protecting local bee species, and promoting beekeeping as a sustainable source of income.

  • Capacity-building programs aimed at training farmers and beekeepers on modern agricultural and veterinary practices to ensure long-term developmental impact.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, who emphasized the importance of such partnerships in strengthening farmers’ capacities and supporting economic stability within local communities.

The event concluded with an open discussion addressing key field challenges in Laboos District and exploring practical solutions to ensure the effective implementation and sustainability of the project activities.
